I felt like I’d been left in limbo as images of the accident flashed before me. There seemed nowhere to go. The pain cut like a blade pushed into my chest that made me gasp.
Just wanted to fold into my safe shell like a threatened snail. Preferable to falling into this dark pit as the pain was such a bitter pill to swallow.
