wordle 69

Happy Sunday,

This week’s words were selected from a poem entitled “Pine Ridger with a Lamborghini Dream” from a book of poetry by Allison Adelle Hedge Coke, Dog Road Woman.  Visit Hedge Coke’s website for a glimpse of her creativity.

It’s nice to be home again. Thank you for your continued contributions to The Whirl. Welcome newbies!

Brenda

First time here, came via Magical Mystical Teacher. Like it! So I “gave it a whirl.” Reading others vividly shows indeed I am new.

  2. What a great quote:

    it is a game.”

Wasn’t sure I was going to get a go at these but finally did … interesting, challenging words … thanks brenda!

Glad I was able to post this one before I go on holiday tomorrow evening. Good fun!

  5. I finally got one in. A difficult one to write, and to think about.

  6. Memories of loss can be quite profound. They linger longer than we realize. This stirred quite a few, Brenda. Thanks for that nudge.

  9. I wonder why it is that the stuff that comes bubbling up is so often from the distant past? I lived in a beautiful place when I was growing up. I live in a beautiful place now, but the images from my Scottish childhood are the strongest…

Linked up for the first time. It did inspire.

  11. Thank you for these words. Welcome back Brenda. I hope you will enjoy my ramble.

  12. To my co-Sunday Whirlers: I was late getting up number 68, so that went up today, and you can find it here: http://paulatohlinecalhoun1951.wordpress.com/2012/08/12/sailing-through-illness/

I will get #69 up later this week. Thanks for checking in and for your patience as I try to get back into the swing of things!

your ‘wordles’, new to me, are very interesting; my first visit to your blog

    much love…

  15. Thanks for the words – I needed some inspiration today.

  16. PJF Sayers says:

I wrote some poemlets for the words, as I couldn’t come up with one cohesive piece of writing. I am still experiencing some computer issues. I hope to get round to read others in the next few days. As always thanks for the words, Brenda.

    FAMILY GATHERINGS

All of the maps in the world could never trace the narrowing, invisible path to the curvaceous alcoves of my Mother’s kitchen…now a smaller table dressed in lace, and a lazy Susan with a slight warp from the bottles that the babies loved to ricochet with a spin… Flooded memories from my folks’ past starting to dwindle.

Thank you all for the welcoming words. I woke up, had coffee, visited Facebook, and wrote. Now it’s time for more coffee, and some soul food (your words).

    Have a great Sunday,

    Brennda

I have missed you all. I used the words for the last two wordles as well as this weeks in my piece. It is my way of catching up. Have a great Sunday!

  20. Laurie Kolp says:

Thanks, Brenda. Glad you had some relaxing/fun adventures during your summer break!

  21. It’s nice to go away but, so nice to come home. 🙂
    Have a good day all

My sinus issues have turned into a summer cold. What joy.
I do hope you enjoy ‘this not so missing link’ to the fun I am having with Sunday Whirl Wordles
In creating story verse. I kind of had an idea of where I wanted to go and made the words work for me. Unless we would just like to credit my Muse, and that’s OK too.
I’m in Mr. Linky or you can go here:

Welcome home, Brenda! Great words they were!

  24. 1sojournal says:

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. I had some difficulty with these words, not how to use them, but where I should put them.

    • pmwanken says:

Funny you should say that, Elizabeth. I was thinking the same thing. Their usage came to me in an instant. It took a little fiddlin’ to get them in the right order. 🙂

      • 1sojournal says:

Lol, Paula. Somehow the words seem to suggest an idea, maybe a beginning and an ending, but then, I swear they go silent at that blank space in the middle. I also am fairly certain I can hear them giggling when I get there.
