wordle 64

Happy Sunday Wordlers,

A shout out to Paula Tohline Calhoun, who sent me a couple of wordles for busy weeks. This weekend, I’m visiting my parents in the beautiful Swan Valley of Montana. They are nestled between two mountain ranges on a creek that flows out of Holland Lake. It’s gorgeous. I’ll be home Sunday afternoon…but thought I’d prepare this before leaving as their Internet is notoriously unreliable. I’m grateful for the words.

I may check out a few of your entries from the deck on Sunday morning with my iPhone. However, I’m not sure how much time I want to spend typing comments on that little screen.

Enjoy the words. And, thank you again, Paula. You saved me from scrambling. πŸ™‚

I tried to leave a comment for Tina M. But I’m not joining Yahoo to do so.
    Tina, I liked your wordle.

  2. Cathy says:

I’m late!!!! but not dead πŸ˜‰ Well nickname this poem “wtf poem” When you read it, you’ll understand. Then wonder if I was crazy or on some something.

I’ll start reading everybody poems tomorrow.

Tina, Here’s the comment I wanted to leave on you post…but it seems I have to add another Facebook App to comment….the app wants to access too much info for me. πŸ™‚ So here is your comment:

Excellent flash response to the words. Dang housewives. Rude comments come so easily for some that they must be ignorance of their own rudeness….or worse!

Bit late again…Thanks Brenda, very challenging for me this time.

  7. After finishing up my submission, I forgot to post it on Linky. It’s up nor, or you can find it here if you have the time of inclination. When I created that Wordle, I had absolutely NOT idea what I would end up writing. This one surprised me!

This is not the road I thought I was on. . .

Wordled! Going back to read some of the others’ now.

  9. I have wordled! Back for reading tomorrow.

  10. Easing back into the saddle with this great collection of words.

NOW THAT I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION…

  11. Very interesting words… led to very strange poem. I think it is okay though, I am amused by the turn my imagination took. You can read it here:http://hopefuljo.wordpress.com/2012/07/08/365-creativity-project-day-181/

  12. Most grateful for the words, Brenda and Paula!! Thank you and happy wordling to everyone!! πŸ™‚

  13. Just a little correction here: I’m Paula, and not Pauline. It’s a common error because I always post my middle (maiden) name as well – there are only about 25 of us in the world, so I like hanging on to it!.

Anyway – glad you were able to use the Wordle. Happy to help anytime!

My apologies. I will go fix that RIGHT NOW. Tohline is unique. Where does it come from?

      • It’s Swedish, pronounced “t’LEEN,” – the spelling has been anglicized. In the mid 19th century, three brothers came over from Sweden. They didn’t get along very well, so they each had their name anglicized differently, and parted. One brother had it spelled T-O-H-L-I-N-E; one spelled it T-O-H-L-E-N-E, and the thrid spelled it “T-O-L-I-N-E. Go figure. None of the three ways they spelled it make sense. In Swedish (they should have kept it that way!) it is spelled T-Γ–-L-I-N. A lot easier to figure out that way!

No harm done, BTW – like I said , it’s an easy mistake to make! πŸ˜†

Brenda, thanks for the words. Have fun visiting your parents. I’m off to visit my mother-in-law and her family in Ohio shortly.

at first glance, I thought these words were really challenging… and then a story just came through like a snap!

  17. pmwanken says:

I got the “early words” but didn’t have a chance to rearrange them until this morning…now I’m off and running for the day. I’ll be back to read! Happy Sunday, Y’ALL. πŸ™‚

Thanks Pauline for the list. Brenda – put the phone away and enjoy your stay…our words can wait!
It sounds like you have one idyllic location for inspiration! It’s got to be cooler than the already near 80F degrees at 9:30am this morning.

Fellow Wordlers I hope to read more of you this week. Please do leave a link so I can return your visit – if you are so inclined – I’m up in Mr. Linky but also here:

I used one of my characters already in place to play with this list…and continue one of my story series. You are under no obligation to read the whole thing through…but there is a link to the whole of it if you are interested at the bottom of the poem.

Thanks Jules… I did just post, and will be around to do some reading when I get home later. My piece is a quirky piece of fiction. See you later alligator…. I’m off to watch turtles bask in the sun.

Far too early in the morning here. I am going to snuggle back under the covers and watch the Tour de France. I’ll be back to comment.

  20. Mary says:

Enjoy your week, Wordlers! The words this week were a challenge. Lots of tricky words. “Balls,” “drawers,” “housewives.” Yikes. Did manage to accomplish though. “Housewives” turned out to be my worst nemesis!

  21. Laurie Kolp says:

I had some difficulty with a few of the words, but did end up getting them in. Have a great day, perhaps splash for a bit in the pool…

  26. Caught these on the fly and thought maybe housewives was going to fell me but … decided I didn’t really have to “own” it … lol … will try to make it back later to read and comment. Off to explore a medieval castle in Melfi today, or at least that’s the story …

I was making heavy weather of the words until I read the Trifecta prompt, and managed to combine the two. By golly, that 33-word self-imposed limit doesn’t half concentrate the mine!

  28. 1sojournal says:

Wrote two, posted one. Hope everyone enjoys the day,
