Happy Sunday Wordlers,
A shout out to Paula Tohline Calhoun, who sent me a couple of wordles for busy weeks. This weekend, I’m visiting my parents in the beautiful Swan Valley of Montana. They are nestled between two mountain ranges on a creek that flows out of Holland Lake. It’s gorgeous. I’ll be home Sunday afternoon…but thought I’d prepare this before leaving as their Internet is notoriously unreliable. I’m grateful for the words.
I may check out a few of your entries from the deck on Sunday morning with my iPhone. However, I’m not sure how much time I want to spend typing comments on that little screen.

After finishing up my submission, I forgot to post it on Linky. It’s up nor, or you can find it here if you have the time of inclination. When I created that Wordle, I had absolutely NOT idea what I would end up writing. This one surprised me!

Just a little correction here: I’m Paula, and not Pauline. It’s a common error because I always post my middle (maiden) name as well – there are only about 25 of us in the world, so I like hanging on to it! :lol:.

My apologies. I will go fix that RIGHT NOW. Tohline is unique. Where does it come from?
It’s Swedish, pronounced “t’LEEN,” – the spelling has been anglicized. In the mid 19th century, three brothers came over from Sweden. They didn’t get along very well, so they each had their name anglicized differently, and parted. One brother had it spelled T-O-H-L-I-N-E; one spelled it T-O-H-L-E-N-E, and the thrid spelled it “T-O-L-I-N-E. Go figure. None of the three ways they spelled it make sense. In Swedish (they should have kept it that way!) it is spelled T-Ö-L-I-N. A lot easier to figure out that way!
No harm done, BTW – like I said , it’s an easy mistake to make! 😆

I was making heavy weather of the words until I read the Trifecta prompt, and managed to combine the two. By golly, that 33-word self-imposed limit doesn’t half concentrate the mine!
