wordle 142

142

Dear all You Guys; my wordling family; Wordlers;

Life took me by surprise with a new job description last fall, and my obligations here fell short.  Always, I posted words, and a space for your work.  All that said. I will no longer send out early words through e-mail.  My life is busy.  If you want the early words, you need to see the Whirl’s Facebook page.

I almost quit this, due to my lack of participation.  You all kept it going.  I’ve only been providing words, and a place to post.  I hope to be more active.  Time will tell.  Either way, The Sunday Whirl will whirl.  It’s what it does.

Brenda

I and my other team members from the Living Dead blog are often reluctant to share what we write from the prompts because too often we encounter derision because our style and personalities are a bit different. The only reason I shared today was to encourage people like you to keep providing the prompts, otherwise I surely would not have.

  2. You provide more than space, you create some great diving boards for us poor “poets-in-their-own-minds” who need a place to jump in! Thanks for all you do, and a very Happy 2014.

BTW, you also provide space for some great poets who give us some great lessons on how to write some really cool stuff! I send my thanks out to them – you all, I hope, know who you are! 😆

  3. Please stay, Brenda. This is a challenging site, and you do a fabulous job.

thank you for continuing to host this! If you want others to contribute lists of words, I’m sure that some of us would gladly take turns doing that. However, I have a question- do you go to a piece of work and pick words randomly from it?

I have to add to all the others who have commented earlier… I am so glad you didn’t quit; I am also extremely grateful for the effort you take; I love the wordles and cant thank you enough for all that you do! thanks again so much and have a wonderful day!

Also a very happy 2014 to you!!

    Brenda,
You have created magic here with The Sunday Whirl, bringing together writers from all over the world, connected by a common bond: the love of words and the love of writing. Thank you for all you do for this group. Is there anything we can do to lighten the load for you? Blessings to you, dear wordle friend! xox

  7. Brenda.
This morning I did not see your Wordle column. I looked several times, accidently skipping over it. I really panicked, thinking, Oh, No, the Wordle has left.!
Then a little while ago, I saw it right were it had been all morning. What a relief. so glad you are still wordling!!

Brenda, your whirling wordle has kept me alive and writing during this passed year (I did little else in that arena). I think my angst is almost famous at this point, but that only proves that I can’t decline a challenge. You do what is best for you because we need you, girl…you rock!

Hugs and lots of thanks for all that you do,

    Elizabeth

Brenda, don’t shut down your site it’s my savoir right now. You are awesome to keep this going for all of us. Thank you so much.

    Pamela

    • I’m not going anywhere, Pamela. I’m grateful for your presence here. For everyone’s presence, here. Thank you for your support–The Whirl has saved me, too. We are a good community.

I am sorry. My first link is a null link because Mr. Linky did not store values even though the link was posted. So it goes nowhere…

I am a newcomer to your Sunday Whirl, by comparison to others, but I am completely in love with the words that you post each week, and very appreciative!

  12. Brenda, your wordle has kept my poetry going. I know I have not posted for the past two weeks. I don’t want The Sunday Whirl to go away. It keeps me sane. As Irene said, words can save us.

    Dear Brenda,

I have had my own real life to deal with that I have missed posting my story for a few weeks. But I do intend to ‘make them up’. Thank you for your creative lists and space. May you find the time this year to expand your own creativity as an enjoyment. Continued success with your family, job and love of learning.

With the warmest of thanks for all that you have and continue to provide.

    Gratitude.

Thank you for what you do here, Brenda!!!

I haven’t been linking lately b/c a couple months ago we found out my mom has lung cancer that has spread to her brain. She’s under Hospice care now and most of my time is spent with her. I’ve missed you guys a lot.

Brenda, I’m glad you aren’t going to shut it down completely. What you do here IS participation. Thank you.

    • Oh Laurie, I am so sorry for the struggle you face with your mother. It’s nice to see you here. We all bounce in and out of writing communities. This one is supportive and strong. We keep coming back.

      Thank you for your kindness.

    • Laurie – a flock of cardinals to lift your spirits during this surreal time – we never do know what another is going through – and YES excellent point what Brenda is doing here IS participation!
All love and positive energy to you …

  17. Dear Brenda – of course there is as one person once put it the pull of “three dimensional” life – yet I implore you to consider alternative methods to the Sunday Whirl whirling into oblivion. Perhaps there are some out there who might consider stepping in for a while? I do hope you continue – I know I do not stand alone in attributing hundreds of poems to your inspiration. Be well, of course do what you must for yourself, but please provide for the option for The Sunday Whirl to continue . It is a huge undertaking, but perhaps someone, at a less demanding point of life, will be able to assist. All good things to and for you …

    • It won’t whirl into oblivion, Pearl. I’m just trying to salve my guilt for not participating with greater regularity. I love having you all here, but there are weeks when time is not easy. Thank you for your support. Before ever quitting, I would consider passing the torch along.

  18. Brenda, thank you so much for all your hard work and keeping the wordlers wordling!

  19. Irene says:

Oh Brenda, words can save us you know.

  20. I had been wondering about the early words. Brenda, You are very generous to keep us supplied with wordles when your life is so busy. I personally went from a reluctant wordler to a wordleholic thanks to you!
