Brenda–Late to this party, and my response came out to be not particularly poem-shaped, but what fun! I also visited several of the other responses/links–Veronica Roth, Marianne, and kaykuala this week–all were lovely. It’s fascinating to see what different minds do with the same set of words. Thanks so much for your beautiful, inspiring site.
Very late, but I had to write something, even if I have no time to visit. Perhaps when we are finally moved and settled, I will come back and look at what these words said to everyone else.
A calamity in the upper regions of the Himalayas, where the holiest of shrines are inundated and devastated by the rivers which have their source there!! The relief and rescue operations are still going on and it is nearly a fortnight now.Extremely sorry state for the survivors too. A sad contribution today!!

I am so sorry for not being able to read much on any prompt. My eyes. Easier to write. But I do try. Comments on my work are so appreciated.
Am late this week. Saw another’s wordle to jog my memory. Lovely words!

Good wishes to all. I’m not as caught up as I’d like to be on reading…
And soon we’ll have a pleasant distraction of a new grandchild.
Heres the story verse:

Back from vacation. Had me some fun with this one. Thanks, Bren
Great to be back playing with The Whirl. Didn’t write a poem today, surprised myself.
I love this group of words today! I decided to try a tanka series. A new form for me! Thanks for this wonderful stimulation!
Happy Whirl to all! Thanks, Brenda.

I have my grand daughter to stay for three days, hence the early whirl!
Play time!

I tried to leave a comment on your blog, such an inspiring poem that you’ve written, but my browser just refuses to play nicely with Blogger.
Thank you for sharing this story, Nanka. My thoughts are in the Himalayas today.
