The words are a baker’s dozen full of multiple meaning words. I picked all but strike from a list at school. Paula Wanken provided “strike” on The Whirl’s facebook page.
Good words, and once again – the subject JUMPED out at me (or should I say at Poly, my muse?) with the subject. She didn’t end up giving me what I wanted. This is less poem, and more narrative, but what it is, it is. I really loved the words!
Great wordle Brenda. Thought it tough at first but then I am staying just across the street form the Quebec Parliament buildings and sentences began to fit into place. Really enjoyed it. Thank you. http://veronicaroth.com/?p=1104
The words were rattling around in my head…jumbled phrases kept coming to mind. When that happens, I write all the phrases for each wordle word, then I arrange the phrases in order alphabetically based on the wordle word in that line. Some tweaks were needed, but the finished product has been posted. I’ll have to use time throughout the week to come back and read.
This one crawled out of the ooze fully formed almost … not jolly but there you have it … great words brenda – thanks! On a different topic entirely, Happy Father’s Day!
I haven’t been linking the results of these prompts, but this one came out pretty good, I think, so here’s the link to the site where I posted it (I hope it lets you in):
I did enjoy your post. But not being a member I couldn’t comment. Anyway to let non-members comment? Kind of reminds me of growing up with my own dad. Made it a point to marry an opposite. Lucky to find a gentle soul 🙂 humor and compromise have diminished ugly retreats vastly. Thanks for joining the Whirl.
While the list of contributors here grows, please do not feel slighted if I miss reading your additions. I leave a link in with my comments to your piece, please do the same when visiting me – I will then often succeed in making a return visit.
I finally got round to the Wordle this week. For some reason the words this week were really hard for me. But, as always, it was a fun exercise.

g’night all
An odd set of words, but I met the challenge. Happy Father’s Day to whomever it applies.
My poem worked out well although I was a bit befuddled by the words. Thank you for posting the wordle Brenda. I really love the challenge.

When I first looked at the words, I thought “no way can I do something with these” — and then, BOOM, there it was. I love it when that happens.
Mine is not a Father’s Day poem. In fact, my subject is not a nice guy at all.
Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there.
Richard
Thanks again Brenda- I will be around in a bit to take a peek at the entries.

You don’t have to be a big man to stand tall. I experienced the tallest!

Strangely my father makes an appearance in the poem.
The birds woke me at dawn – hubby is away, and thankfully I wrote my Wordle yesterday so I can post it now and go back to bed!!! I am also in Mr. Linky.

Happy Father’s Day to you dads. I took this from the last two days. Hard words to work with, but I used them all … yeah!
Happy Sunday
Pamela
Up late, so I thought I’d go ahead and post! This Wordle wanted to be a poem, and I’m not much of a poet! Fun anyway. Thanks for the words, Brenda.
