wordle 57 ~ a baker’s dozen

Greetings Wordlers,

This week’s words came from three different poems I perused at Poets.org. Each of these poems spoke to me on some level, so I grabbed the words. I’m typing this up early Saturday evening, and am unsatisfied with my results with these words. I hope things came easier for you all. Here are links to the source pieces:

Equinox  by Joy Harjo

Spring is like a perhaps hand  by e. e. cummings

Black Petal   by Li-Young Lee

Good luck poets and writers of short fiction.  You all rock!

Brenda

Brenda, thank you. I’m very late this week, but still here. Off to read others’ poems now, including the three you linked to. Thanks, again!

I’m glad you’re here….it’s been awhile, and it’s nice to connect again. My old blog is Beyond the Bozone. Your work has threads of spirit running through it that are fun to chase.

  4. This particular group of words was quite intriguing, but led me, unfortunately to a depressing poem. Must be because I am working through a bout of it right now! Anyway, the depression of the poem does not reflect my current reality! 😆

I’m looking forward to reading some more cheerful ones! 😎

It’s only Sunday night and I still feel late, sliding in at #26.

    …sigh… 😉

Still catching up on “life” as I just returned home last night from being away for 10 days. I’ll try to make it around to visit your wordles soon. (I hope.) 😉

  13. Agreed, Sharon. A quick glance at the words placed an image in my head that took on a life of its own, although dark and brooding. A sense of oppression.

  14. Thank you Brenda, I enjoyed these words a lot, tried to do them justice…

Not feeling very chipper today, sorry if you couldn’t read it.
Thanks to Mary for emailing me and asking why she couldn’t see my post 🙂

Really enjoy when the words and my personal experience seem to blend together and make sense in one form or another. Thanks Brenda,

Hello everyone. I do love spending my Sundays with you, although some of you, who I know are on my side of the globe, get up way too early!

    Thank you, Brenda 🙂

Well, last night I had thought I wasn’t going to wordle this week, as I had too many other irons in the fire; but darned if I didn’t get up this morning and come up with one I am fairly satisfied with. I always find myself saying “Whew” when I finish! Have a great week, wordlers!

  22. Nice set of words, however, I am not so sure about my attempt??? Thanks for being here, Brenda.

funny how some words just fall into place for me and in this case, these did … not particularly what I wanted them to say but try as I might, this is what they continued to say anyhow …
