Marianne from *elle ecrit* provided this week’s wordle words. She lifted them from Barabara Crooker’s poem, The Meteorology of Loss. Thank you for your commitment to the Whirl, Marianne, and all of you. You are a great bunch of people.
May 2012 keep you writing in good health,
Brenda
I’m late! I’m late! I’m sorry! Off to read!
Another set of interesting words.
Mine is posted at: http://miskmask.wordpress.com/2012/01/04/a-sweater-for-trees/
This is my first attempt at this as I just discovered this wonderful site! I enjoyed the challenge, and after writing my poem I had fun reading the others. http://daphnehaiku.blogspot.com/2012/01/wordle-37.html
This was one of those wordles where I had to beat the words into submission for a while before coming up with something that worked out. Definitely a challenge, but an enjoyable one.
I have posted two wordles, surprising myself!

I got you posted in the Mister Linky links….you’re good to go! Thank you for writing with us.
Thank you for the words! Wordles are a lot of fun to work on.
Happy New Year, everyone!
Happy new year all. The sun is finally shining.
My first attempt at a Wordle; challenging. Took an odd unhappy turn too. Enjoyed doing it though.
Great choice!
I miss read the word “yarn” and thought it was “yam”. I found it very hard to add the word “yam” to my piece. So I decided to leave it. A great way to start the year! Thank you Brenda.
This seems to be one of those polarising wordles. Poems flashed into being or they struggled all the way.
It’s lovely to see everyone. I am going to enjoy my new year morning with coffee and your poems and the sight of my husband whisking the ingredients for his sinful eggnog.
I’ve posted, and now it’s time for a New Years Day hike. My piece is dedicated to all of you this week. Thank you for your continued presence here at the Whirl! I’ll be back to read this afternoon.

Happy New Year, wordlers. Thank you, Brenda.
Thanks for providing us with the prompt every week Brenda. it is a lot of fun to take part in it. I know it’s sometimes hard work for you on top of everything else you do too.
Happy new Year to wordlers. Lets keep wordling all through 2012. 🙂
Fun wordle! My link is up – enjoy. Happy New Year, y’all!
I hope everyone has a wonderful 2012. Thanks for the wordles each week, Brenda.
Here’s mine:

Happy New Year to all! Thanks Brenda and Marianne.

I’m with you Viv – this one came “of whole cloth” as they say, almost unspooling like a reel of film in my mind – now whether that makes it any good, that’s not for me to say but it does make it more fun that’s for sure! Happy New Year – and thanks Brenda, and Marianne for the word-scoop! After hearing where the words are from, my poem almost makes sense to me – now I want to read Crooker’s poem as I’m not familiar with it … find my “Dropping Stitches” here: http://thepoet-tree-house.blogspot.com/
Hi Sharon –
Your link in “Mr Linky” went to a different poem…and the one in this comment is to your site, in general…I found the right poem. So I thought I’d leave the URL here in case anyone else needs a little help finding you! 🙂

By the way…it was well worth the hunt!
I can;t fathom out why some wordles work immediately and others seem un-do-able. I enjoyed this one.
