Wordle 16

This week I’m drawing attention to pieces by two of our wordlers. The detachment of existentialism resounds in Kelly’s piece Actors on her blog Stars and Willows. If you haven’t read the poem, you should. It was one of my favorite reads last week. Here is a taste:
I am breathing rain, dropping scars,
fearing fear, glancing
at my reflection in the mirror.
From Actors I took the words crawling, swept, cement, scars, sun, and tender.
Another piece that I loved last week was Magical Mystical Teacher’s piece imprecation. Her anger over a stolen guitar carries over into a rich set of well-delivered curses worthy of a read. A taste:
May someone drive bamboo splinters under your fingernails
so that every strum of the stolen strings is exquisite agony.
From imprecation I lifted the words prophets, rusty, morning, torments, walk, and notes.

I chose some words that might deliver a bit of darkness this week, although a few of the words carry light. Good luck wordlers, may flowers bloom from your bamboo-splintered fingernails.
