Greetings Wordlers,
It’s Saturday in Rochester, New York. My daughters sleep and I ready the wordle. When most of you read this I’ll be exploring the wonders of Niagra Falls with my step daughter, Julie. TL is staying at RIT (Rochester Institute of Technology) for a week long exploration of college opportunity. It’s an exciting time for her, and bittersweet watching her curl tendrils into the blooming world.
Due to a busy vacation I pulled this week’s wordle words from a Wallace Stevens poem. He is my vacation poet of 2011. ha! How fortuitous that a baker’s dozen week should fall on wordle 13. For those of you newer to the venue, I add a word every third Sunday of the month. This week’s thirteenth word is “jostles.”
You guys are what’s keeping me Internet connected and writing during vacation. Thank you for that. The piece I wrote was cathartic for me, and I may not have gone there without the whirl.
Thank you for participating. Please check back to read Thursday or Friday as a lot of poems filter in toward the end of each week.
Brenda

Catching up on my Wordles now that the move is complete. Better late than never, right?

The Falls will be beautiful today. Mary suggested I try a wordle, so I gave it a whirl. I wrote it before reading the others, and I see that one other poet also saw herself sitting in the balcony observing the void…..the words simply led that way, I didnt copy, honest! Thanks for these words. I was amazed at how easily a poem came, with some words to work with.
